04 WJ Limited with no Jeep emblems on the outside and state of transmission

Hello,

I'm new here. I'm looking at buying an '04 Grand Cherokee Limited, 4.7, 135k miles, looks very clean, no maintenance records provided.

One odd thing I noticed is that there are no Jeep logo badges on the front hood or rear hatch where you would expect them to be. No "Grand Cherokee" on the sides, or engine size badge, or 4x4 or anything either. Just one little thing that says "Limited" on both sides. To me that's odd, but maybe it's a normal thing. Certainly not a deal breaker by any means.

My big thing is sorting out the state of the transmission, since there are no records. Everything else seems very nice, drives very well, no ugly noises. Looks to be garage kept, and driven under 10k a year.

Any advice on things to look for?

Thanks!
William
