2006 Golden Eagle for sale $17K

GOLDEN EAGLE EDITION! $17000 OBO. Located in Fairmont, WV.

Only 2000 of these were made, and this one is a well-kept beauty. Includes BOTH hard and soft tops! Drives like a dream. Never taken off road by me, and appears to never have been by previous owners. I don’t even think the hard top has ever been taken off. Garage kept since I’ve owned it, and again, it appears to have been by previous owners as well. Absolutely no rust issues. The remnants of an undercoating are still plain to see, and it seems to have worked very well. 6-speed manual. 132,000 miles. 6-CD changer. A/C. All 7 speakers work, including the subwoofer, which is kind of hard to find considering many of them blow out in the Jeep TJ 7-speaker system. Beautiful hood decal (not all Golden Eagles were purchased with this option, making this one even more of a rare bird!). This model basically included all the bells and whistles that were ever available in a TJ. Here’s info from an online article:

To celebrate the end of an era marking the last production year of the legendary TJ, an old friend flew back into the Jeep lineup in 2006: the Golden Eagle Edition. Although it was a popular choice in the 1970s and early '80s, it then took a 20-plus-year hiatus. Featuring gold-colored accents and a motif honoring one of its country's most beautiful native raptors, this edition was built as an upgraded Wrangler Sport. The Sport's stats include a 4.0-liter, 190-horsepower i6, Quadra-Coil suspension, Command-Trac 4WD transfer case, and a standard 6-speed manual transmission. But the Golden Eagle package includes much more: a heavy-duty Dana 44 rear axle, 30-inch off-road tires, two-tone seats with unique Golden Eagle embroidery, an upgraded seven-speaker audio system, a silver center-stack bezel, gas-charged shocks, 15-inch gold-aluminum wheels, and Golden Eagle decals on the exterior, hood, and fenders. The Golden Eagle really is "a Jeep thing," as the sloganeers say, and its buyers are in general a proud and satisfied lot.
