Jeep Liberty KK tire question

Hi, i just bought a 2011 jeep Liberty Jet edition with the 20 inch wheels. It came with a 3" lift and 2" wheel spacers with the stock 245x50x20 tires. When the wheel is fully turned there is some minor rubbing of the front tires on the inside. Instead of getting new rims and tires now, I would like to get rid of wheel spacers and put on something like a 265x55x20 tire on the stock rim. Does anyone know if that setup would work?

This should be in the Liberty technical forum - hope the mods will move it

Take a look at your inches of uptravel - increasing both diameter and width will impact the fenders

If you want to increase diameter, then go skinny, say 235, to tuck inside the fenders

If you want to go wide, then be careful to limit diameter, and/or get the Teraflex extended bumpstops

2017 JK Sahara (my Smartcar)
2011 KK Liberty (H&R lift springs, OldManEmu shocks/struts, skinny 32)
2009 Kia Sorento (H&R springs, ToyTec strut spacers, OldManEmu shocks/struts, skinny 31)
2006 TJ budget LCG prerunner (see profile)
2006 Chevy Trailblazer (EXT lift, Nth LJ 4.5" springs + Monroe rear coilovers, skinny 32)
1998 Dodge Durango (SuspMax & Roadmaster lifts, rear Truetrac, skinny 32)
