Expedition Portal did a great write up on them. The cousin to this tire is the Mastercraft Courser MXT and both should be really great in most conditions.

Nice lookin tire with a great price but I'm wondering if these run super short like other Cooper products. They are certainly a possibility though when my Toyos wear out, especially if the price stays down.

The Coopers I've owned over the last 10 years have actually run big for their size. Mounted on the Jeep/truck they are almost always about .25" taller and .5" wider than the same size in other brands. This seems to especially be true of the AT3 and ST Maxx. Just my experience with a tape measure, nothing scientific.

My Pooper AT3s are supposed to be 32.5 inches tall according to the Cooper website and when new were barely 31" on a good day. That 31" was with a tape measure but I actually had to set my tuner to 30.75" tire height to have an accurate speedo. This was verified with 2 gps units to ensure the speedo was spot on. 285s btw. I know another member was complaining that his 275s were small for size also so it is not limited to just 1 tire size and 1 experience.

It is important to keep in mind when reading on here that some have a serious infatuation with certain brands and that they tend to be overly optimistic when singing the praises of certain said brand. This also leads to overly inflated exaggerations of said brand's performance.

Buyer beware!

That being said, I'm still considering these because even if they run almost 2" short like my Cooper AT3s, I will deal with it as I don't want to have to make more adjustments for a larger 37 like you get with quality brands like Maxxis, Interco, Pitbull.....

My 33" regular STT's MIGHT run 32". If you wanted 35's maybe get 37's and hopefully get 35"?

Your 285's run only 31 inches? Dang that sucks. I have 265's that run exactly 31 inches.... Mastercraft Courser MXT's btw

Cooper STT Pro

I love my Cooper STT's. The Pro's look like an improvement. Very nice looking MT. If they perform as well as they look...kudos to Cooper.

I like the Cooper STT's. But don't these new STT Pro's look a lot like BFG KM2's? And where are the 15" sizes? What is the world coming to?
