Best all season tires for heavy towing with Grand Cherokee

Hey folks, I'm pretty new to the forums and did a couple searches on this topic but didn't find the answer, so hopefully I'm not posting a duplicate thread here.

I'm looking to replace the stock Michelin Premiere LTX 265/60R18 tires on my Grand Cherokee. I do pretty heavy towing (~6000 lbs travel trailer) with my Grand Cherokee, and I've read online that LT / load range E tires are helpful in reducing side-to-side roll.

I've looked around and I really like the LT versions of the Michelin Defender LTX M/S, but the smallest size they seem to make is LT265/70R18. These would fit on the rims, but I'm worried they're too big for the GC.

Does anyone here do heavy travel-trailer-type towing with their GC, and have any experience with LT / load range E tires and/or recommendations on what I should fit? I live in the northwest, so looking for an all-season tire that can handle mild winters and all four seasons on the rims.

Thanks, appreciate any advice folks have!

Lots of members running LT tires on their WK2’s. Based on your needs, I think that’s the right way to go. 32” (actually 32.1”) is the largest diameter you can run w/o rubbing in most tires, so 265/70 is larger than will fit (32.6”).

If you don’t do any off roading, an all season would work, too.

Your wheels aren't rated for the weight nor the tire pressure to use a LT in load range E. I would look at something like the below Cooper that is load range XL (2600lbs per tire). These should be plenty for the weight you are towing and have a stiffer sidewall than your current tires and are a close look to the tread of the Michelin Defender.
