beadlocks, tire shops, and the law

I've never owned beadlock wheels but I'm thinking about trying them. Researching the pros and cons on the internet, I read that many or most tire shops "won't touch" them for legal reasons, so you have to balance your tires yourself. Fine if you're at home, especially if you have a buddy with a wheel balancer, but hard to deal with on the road.

But "many" / "most won't" implies that some tire shops will fix beadlocks.

So what's been your experience? How hard is it to find shops that will help a guy with beadlocks out of a jam?

Also, has anyone ever had legal issues running beadlocks?

Unless its a off road jeep only its kinda dumb. You air down to 4 psi much? run trails rated 10+? They are very heavy as well. The many bolts have to tightened carefully.

It can be a pain in the azz to mount these compared to a normal wheel. time=money in a shop. last thing they want is a tire tech spending hours on them.

You might find a shop that will but i would about bet no chain shop will.
