15x8 or 15x10 MT Classics

Trying to decide between 15x8 or 15x10 wheels for a red 98 TJ. Considering Mickey Thompson classic II wheels but have read all the bad reviews about keeping them looking good over time. May go with dick copeck wheels instead - not sure yet. I don't do any hardcore offloading so I'm not too concerned about airing down so thought the 10 inch tires may be better but now I'm concerned they will stick out too far from the car body. Can someone post some pics of what an 8 inch wheel looks like compared to a 10 inch wheel particularly with Mickey Thompson classics? Thanks.

what size tire you want to run. Also MT are a pain to keep polished, but if you paint them they look nice...

15x10 is fine for street use but 15x8 is MUCH better for offroading and fine for the street as well. The only time I'd run a 10" wide wheel is if I was running a 13.5" or wider tire..

Tires that are aired down for offroading have a MUCH easier time remaining seated air tight on 8" wide wheels than on 10" wide wheels. The reason being that it takes more air pressure to hold a tire securely seated against two wheel edges that are 10" apart than if they are only 8" apart. I'm running my 35x12.50 tires on 15x8 wheels.

And moving this to the tire and wheel forum.

When you have a choice, buy American made.

15x8

I wouldnt even think about running a 10" wide wheel for that narrow of a tire.
