New Grand Cherokee L owner here

We picked up our new L last week. So far we love it. Black Limited with the Luxury and Tow package.

If anyone is curious there is a plug and play harness plug for a brake controller behind the kick panel in the driver foot well. I think it was sort of a design fail to not include a factory brake controller integrated into the vehicle already. We will pull our 23' camper with it.

Cool, which interior color did you get? I still need to post up my Summit's in Steel Gray (I think that is what it is called)
If I ever tow a trailer, it will probably be something lighter and not need brakes, but you never know.

Window sticker calls it "Global Black interior". Our last Subaru had a beige interior. I think I prefer the darker.

They have been providing brake controller harness connection and pigtails for years. Only recently did the RAMs and probably the new Wagoneer get integrated controllers. Opinions are mixed as there are some that don'y like how the MOPAR controller works, and prefer to use one brand or another.

Since there is so little room in the foot well and you have to be careful of the knee bag, most recent WK2 installs use one of the so call remote controllers, a small knob/button gets installed in an accessible location and the larger control box gets squeezed in.

I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory;

I was careful of the knee bag when I installed it. I suppose if it goes off it may go into a knee. I plan on disconnecting it and removing the controller when we're not towing. It comes off pretty easy.
