Where is QD on a build sheet?

Ok, so isn't the quadra-drive the 249, or is that the 247. I ask because I went into the dealer to get some fluid, now besides the fact the TC only took about 1.75 quarts, I was dealing with rainman who only knew numbers and nothing more. He pulled a build sheet by my vin and it says quadra-trac 2, yet the car clearly has quadra-drive unless the last owner slapped on a badge and changed out the gear shift.

Now on the build sheet it lists 42re something something for transmission, and then quadra-trac 2 for power train, then further down it lists "quadra-drive awd system" in what I assume is the options menu.

Long story short the guy didn't believe I have quadra-drive and so I don't think he gave me the right fluid

Its the 247, and it should say NV247 Transfer Case Fluid on the bottle, anything else is wrong.

Quadra-Drive and Quadra-Trac II use the same transfer case, NV 247. Therefore, NV247 TC lube is needed for both. BTW, a 42RE transmission is only used with the 4.0L engine. Your '00 with 4.7L engine would have a 45RFE transmission.

See if I didn't have freakin rainman as a clerk he could have told me that. The guy went and wrote down my vin number of the car, I clearly showed him it has quadra-drive "That doesn't mean anything to me, I only know the numbers and model codes"

I love this kind of guys... You have to tell them what you want, what parts do you need, what are their numbers, how to do that thing, then pay them, and correct everythng after job... Just cool...
