Blew the driver side rear brake hard line. Now my question is why shouldn't I just run the hard line straight to the caliper? I could make a loop to compensate for vibration. It just seems that the rubber line at that wheel is pointless.

You need the flexibility when doing rear brake work. Solid lines wont let the caliper move.

starting the prep process to dip my jeep in a few weeks.. was debadging it, to get a smoother finish.. the pin stripe and LAREDO badges were slightly worn away. got a 3m 'eraser wheel', and it made quick work of the gold, but what is odd, is I found a red and white strip under the pin stripe, not the badges tho. its almost as if its under the clear coat, as it is not coming off.. kinda interesting..

possibly found the source of a recent suspension noise... my driver side sway bar link has some very noticable play in it... not sure just yet if the nut worked itself loose or if the ball joint at the top of the link is toast

Decided to try Seafoam today. Put one and a half cans in the tank before heading out on a long road trip. Stopped along the way and sucked in the last half can through the vacuum port on the TB. Let it sit for about 15 min then back on the highway to clean out the gunk. Smoked really bad for about a min or two then stopped. As I was driving I noticed my throttle response improved and the slight engine pinging I had on steep inclines disappeared as well as the idle smothing out. Will probably do a second cleaning when I can take another road trip.

No real reason for the photos. Just liked how my Zj looked in the natural sunlight. She ain't the prettiest girl on the lot, but she can still look nice.

I highly recommend Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner. Superior to Seafoam.

Wire wheeled all the bedliner off the passenger frame rail last night. The frame stiffener fits like a glove now. Hoping to hit the drivers side tonight and do some more cutting on the rockers.

I also installed a new Mopar CPS. Different makings on the one I took out, doesn't appear to be Mopar. Really glad I changed it out!

I've used seafoam with good results several times. The Mopar is better because it's foaming.
I was just going to add that it'll get all gunk ed up again if you don't fix the plenum and add an oil catch can on the pvc line. These motors are bad for blow-by. Hemi is even worse.

New uppers

I swapped out the rear upper control arms today. Went from Crown Automotive Adjustable johnny joints both ends (low quality junk) to rough country adjustables with bushings on top johnny joints on bottoms. The crown automotive control arms wore out with about 7k miles on them. I had nothing but trouble with them since install. My lower control arms are rough country with over 20k miles on them, so I suspect the new uppers will be the same quality.
