Gonna be getting new tires here before too long. Currently running 31x10.5.

33x10.5s with 373s 4.0 and ax15 is the question. Wanting extra ground clearance but not width, and want to run current 15 inch wheels (so no metric tires basically). I plan on weekend wheeling, but more street use. Maybe 85-90% on road. Not a whole lot of HW or FW driving but sometimes.

Maybe wait till 410 HP 30 and 8.8? I just really like them tall skinny tires, I would get 33x9.5 but they basically don't exist
Closest to a 33x9.5 I know of that you can find somewhat easily is a 255/85R16 (33x10). You'd have to go to 16s though. But that does make room for bigger brakes...

What trouble?
I don't have a spare housing with 3.73s and 4 pairs of spare axle shafts. 4 spare unit bearings. And a truss going on both axle housings.

Sleeving doesn't buy you much if you're trussed.

The problem with all the 85 series tires I had looked at are E rated and way to stiff on a light vehicle.... I have seen people put e rated tires on Early Broncos and suffer off road from no carcass flex (when they try to air down) I also think on such a light rig they will not have the best traction on road in rain, snow or ice either.... Take care....

Nothing is foolproof...to a sufficiently talented fool....
In Life.... Don't forget to stop and eat the roses!

I will always be Bronco Barney But now we own a ZJ!

Cleaned corrosion off battery posts and applied anti corrosion paste. Relocated CAI filter to prevent water from getting on it since the niner doesn't have the vents and drip pans. In the process of trying to find the water leaks getting both the driver and passenger foot area wet noticed I had a leaky freeze plug. Adj drivers door latch out just a hair more so the key will unlock the door. Inspected the under carriage to find that the less than a year old HD steering from RT offroad has garbage grease boots that are already split. On the water leaks already did the condensate drain the cowl corners water thru the sunroof drains new front inner door seals. Still have not located the damn leaks when it rains. But I will...

That's a nice looking bumper you built TJCR. Glad to hear that you got to give her the test. Have you already posted pics of the finished product? The last one I saw it was just tacked together.
