Drove it around for a little bit and noticed my oil pressure never dropped below 50, thought this was weird because its always right at 40. Parked it for about an hour and when I came back out there was already a fresh oil spot about 2 inches in diameter. Looks like the the rear main seal and oil pump just got move to the top of the to do list, and if that doesnt take care of both problems im gonna have to do the oil sending unit as well.

I'm looking at the DNJ Engine compenents pump, and the Sealed Power pump from rock, or the Crown pump from quadratec. Any recommendations on which one to go with, I'm not sure if an oil pump is one of those u get what you pay for items or not?

Fixed AC today, just needed a recharge, same for my moms crv. Yesterday went to the JY. Got a rear wiper arm, spare good lug nuts, and a rear tow hook. I was dumb and regret being lazy on not removing the front tow hooks off the jeep that was there.. Should have taken it :/ don't know if I want to go on my own this week and hope it's still there, nothing else I need from the jy and my dad would get pissed cuz its a lot of gas haha. Also today I reattached the rear trim now that I have a rear wiper blade again

that really sucks... You gonna pull the motor or try to do it with the motor mounted?
Not sure what to recommend but I usually hear to steer clear of the Crown products, kinda like how everyone says avoid bosch for sensors

No need no pull the motor for the rear main, just gotta drop the oil pan. I'm probably just gonna do a little more research on the pumps rock auto has and pick from one of those 2.

Anything else I should plan on doing while im in there? I was thinking about ordering the screen and pickup tube as well, but I wasnt sure if that was something I could just clean up and reuse.

as long as it isn't damaged, the pick up should be perfectly fine being reused. It's not a typical wear item so it should have a few uses out of it. I always see the old ford and chevy guys reusing them if they aren't rusted out or all jacked up when they rebuild ancient motors from the grave

I think my transmission kicked the bucket when I pulled into my driveway tonight. I come to a stop, put it in park, stop the engine, and notice smoke coming out of the hood. Further inspection revealed a large transmission leak. Source is as yet unconfirmed, but believed to be on passenger side due to smoke.

I'll find out what exactly is going on tomorrow, but I can't afford this ****. God dammit.

Went and saw a white niner, exterior was pretty good with all the niner bits in place, interior was not bad, all but the passenger seat were in good shape.

No spare tire or rim, had fake dual exhaust exiting before the rear axle. Efan had been removed and in its place was a tiny single speed fan zip tied to the radiator. The rest of the electrical for the efan was gone, electrical under the steering column was all kinds of cut up. Had a PA horn under the hood so must have had a hack job cb at one point. Rust under the front lip of the hood.

Wouldn't even give him the $800 he was asking.

Let it cool and look things over. It's possible that it was a little overfilled and got hot enough to puke some fluid out of the breather (into the bellhousing). It'll drip onto the exhaust and make a smokeshow if that happens.
