That's actually normal. The slip yoke looking thing on the CV front shafts is actually just to set the length at the factory, then they epoxy it in place so it'll never move again. The CV joint itself is meant to handle the length changes.

Then it's my passenger side CV, passenger side hub or passenger side brakes making the noise

Got the headliner pulled out.

Those stupid black clips at the c pillars(behind rear doors) were just ripped out, they would not come out without otherwise trashing the liner.. Are they really that important? BTW, what ever dumb**** designed the overhead was a bloody idiot.. Taking it off, it moved up enough that I got a metal on metal contact from the lights' connectors so there's a blown fuse. Anyone know offhand which fuse that is to save me some hunting? Mobile doesn't like the search function period it seems =/

edit: wow.. Even google was almost completely useless, what is going on with the computers today?? I went through 4 pages of results before I found the right one, my home pc HDD is dying, work pc is freezing up.. Fuse 8 likely culprit. That relay clicking threw me a little

While at JeepBeach in Daytona Beach I found out that after installing my RC longarm upgrade kit it threw off my linkages and I couldn't get it into 4 lo... Just so happens I was on the course too.

I can't picture which clips you're talking about. I just put mine back in earlier this week. I remember fighting with the round ones in the roof above the rear cargo area, but that was about the biggest headache. The biggest headache for the re-install was the visors.

Looks good! We all gotta start somewhere with welding. I'm far from good, but still self taught (plus youtube)

It was two small, round, black plastic clips that went in about 1/2"from the edge of the liner, in the pillars behind the passenger doors. I had to take pliers and rip them out almost in pieces.. They are covered by the trim so I doubt it will be of much concern. about 1/3 the size of those clips in the cargo area. Those weren't too big a pain but definitely went airborne when they finally popped out. In the mean time, it was just a fuse that was bad, I have the radio and stuff back now :-)

Did some fiberglass repair on the passenger side of my header panel. It was in several pieces. Wasn't sure if the glass was going to do the job or not, but I already had it, so all it cost me was some time. Got it back in late last night, works great and seems to be plenty strong.
