Speedometer & Tach Zero then Normal

My wife was driving my 1997 ZJ 4.0 on the highway today. Said the Tach and Speedometer dropped to Zero then read normal again. Then a little while the Oil Pressure dropped to Zero then back normal. I'm thinking loose connection on instrument panel harness or ECU. Any advice on most likely culprit?

Most likely a short in that area. After a little investigation, our dog had punctured six water bottles during the trip. They were on the on the floor behind the driver's seat. The carpet is soaked.

Thanks for the input.
