does anyone know where I can get a universal radio antenna for my ZJ? My electric one was toast when I bought the Jeep so I have been just running the cd player. I have tried searching the internet but everything points to XM and satellite radios...

I shaped these mounts myself, one on each side, with some metal I bought at home depot.
The antenna pictured is a VHF/UHF, but you can put a CB stud mount just as well, like I have on the other side for my HF antenna.

Thanks!

I just felt that I didn't want my mount sticking out the side of the Heap. Seen a few that have been mounted on the back but they were more centered and when they lifted the hatch it inter feared with their roof racks. Havent seen anybody else with a set up like I did until yours. I did this a few years ago and haven't had an issue with it since. Great minds think alike I guess.

Hey quick hi-jack, You seem to be a radio guy, Do you do a lot of AM band listening? My factory reception in my Jeep sucks. was never too much of an issue when I lived at my last location cause I was close to several transmitters, Now I'm in a more rural mountainous area. I used to have an antenna on my last vehicle witch seemed to help. It was a C.Crane I dont see it in the online catalog, but it was a top load style. Is there a different antenna that I should be looking at as a replacement to the factory whip?
