Running Light Mod Issue

1996 ZJ
whats up guys so i recently did the front running light mod. looks sweet! anyways, the issue i am having is when the running lights are on with or without the headlights on, the blinker will blink fast like there is a bulb out. If the running lights are off like during the day the blinker acts normal. Is there a resistor i should use when the headlight/running lights are on to slow down the blinker? i know some electrical work but i wanted to get a input from others if they have have the mod as well. Thanks!

Did the mod on my '97 but the blinking works normally regardless of the lights being on or off. Don't know what to say other than recheck the wiring.

Link to the writeup? I may be getting this wrong but didn't the original kevins off road article on this say a socket change was only needed on the 97-98 ZJ? The original has faded into web death apparently. In my head the goal was to have a 1295{?} bulb so 97-98 needed a socket change but earlier models did not. Just trying to fill in the gaps. At a no mod level mine would do weird stuff with 3157 bulbs, and the headlights did affect operation. soon as I got the intended 3154nak bulb back in it stopped. There are some articles that deal with issues of this mod.
