Pioneer radio draining battery

Maybe this is the wrong place to post this, but here goes. I own 2 of the exact same pioneer head unit. The model number is deh-p77dh. I had the first one in my old lumina, the second in my ranger. They both worked fine up until I removed them from the vehicles. Now for some reason, when I hook either up in the Jeep, the next morning the battery is dead. I'm using a scosche harness for both and I've got it hooked up based on the diagram. Do I need to do something different? My guess is either the head units are toast or the wires aren't hooked up right. Do I need to splice the accessory with the hot wire? Do I need a special bracket? I'm really trying to get this hooked up, I've got a Laredo and my CDs are getting no use.

Please help
