No Heat!!!!

Hi, I have a 03 grand cherokee limited with the dual climate control but the drivers side heat will not work. the passengers side blows hot but the drivers side blows cold. i was told that this is a problem with the ducts but is there an easy way to fix this?

go to the AZC self-diagnostic mode and see what code you get then can see if you need a blend door fix or a new motor
Jeep Grand Cherokee WK - Climate controls

here is my write up that lets you keep the dual control

don't let this guy scare you. The heater treater is a permenant fix to the issue. Cost is just over $100 and takes 45 mins to fix. Personally I WAY rather have a limited.

heres an free method you can try and will only take about 1/2 hour. remove the glove box, or drop it own out of the way. you will see the actuator towards the left side of the glove box area. unplug he actuator and remove the two phillips screws the hold the actuator to the ac/heater box. now you should beable to turn the blend door manually. with the car running and up to temp. turn the blend door back and forth and see if you can get any temp. differences. this worked on my '99 wj. of course you wont beable to adjust the temp on the driver side. if this doesnt work for you then replacing the blend doors is your next option. good luck!

i fail to see how laredo's ever win, after owning a few, i'm cozy in my limited. and best part, i don't have to push it up hills, and i'm able to pass people when the urge comes. don't give me the line about them having the 4.7 optional, it's H.O or nothing
