My ZJ Start Over Project!

Well lets just say i have beat my poor black ZJ to hell and its not worth it to keep dumping money into it not to mention the death wobble is uncureable being that its probably cracked at the steering box....It needs a new tranny, rear end, front driveshaft, t-case, Evap canister, o2 sensor, transmission control module, rear brake light, e-brake, front bumper, new tires... so i got out why i could! This time around i was super picky on what ZJ i wanted. I limited my choices to the following:

Had to be a v8 5.2L
Had to either be an Orvis or Limited
If not an orvis it had to be the rare California Blue
It had to have low mileage and all the electric had to work...

After endless searching i found this bad boy!

120k
Rebuilt Tranny
5.2L 318
New Exhaust
Factory Fogs
Factory Skids
Infinity Sound System...

Only Issue is it needs a steering box because it wanders like crazy......BUT I HAVE ONE!

Last Pic is my black truck.... R.I.P Forever missed =)

I had this thread going in the general discussion on accident but yea i got alotta progress done! ive had the new jeep only 2 days now and on my first day off my dad and I got the steering box in, a new tie rod end, swapped the steering stabilizer and put the 31s on.... so at this point i cant really drive it because the tires rub like crazy and on the first test drive i took a piece of the front bumper off ...... heres how she sits now!

Well i got everything i ordered in today got the lift on and right when we finish up there rear i look up and see that the upper control arm was rotted so bad that it was cracked in half!!!!!!!!! i have no idea how long it was like that or it just happend when i let the jack down who knows but a real bummer.... luckly though i have 2 good ones in the black ZJ so i gotta swap it out other then that the lifts on and looks great way more level then the black one sat.... few odds and ends i cam across lately.... the speedo doesnt work at all anaymore, the radio shuts off randomly and the overhead display just reads 42*F most of the time, occasionally it works but yea any ideas??

My first thought is that the black zj is pissed off! Sitting there like an organ donor that is still alive! She is throwing bad jeep karma on the blue one while she is slowly tortured, and having to watch the whole, painful, agonizing process. That's just wrong, I feel sorry for her...

Nice jeep! What kind of paint did you use to do the cladding and how many cans did it take?

i used krylon Fusion both times i did it on my jeeps, it works great and is made for bonding to plastic, you can find it pretty much at any hardware store and this time around it took 2 full cans and i still gotta touch a few things up
