Limited heated seats swap

Hey I was wondering if I were to get my hands on some limited heated seats for my zj could I just easily swap the seats and my current defrost switch with the one with the heated seat controls and the heated seats and just reconnect everything the same way with no issues? My current seats are power seats btw

i cant directly answer your questions but if you even find WORKING seats (drivers side often has wire breaks) in decent condition (drivers side is often cracked/torn) i can tell you from experience the oem zj heated seats arent anything special, i have working ones. if i were you i would consider installing aftermarket heating elements in your seats.

The heated seats I might get I have to check but they could possible be in better condition than the ones I have so that's one of the reasons as well I want to get them instead of paying for the leather to be fixed. My question was since I already have the power seats would it just be plug and play per se if I wanted to put the heated seats with them working as long as I switch the defrost switch with the heated seat switches.

Not THAT cold but I might be moving to Denver that's why. I just got the seats a couple hours ago. They are in way better condition than the ones I had. I also replaced the old switch with the one with the heated seat controls. I didn't swap the wiring harness. The power seats work fine. I'm guessing all I would need to do to get the heated functionality to work would be to run a cable from the switch to the harness connected under the seat? Seeing as the seat already gets power?

I know it's an old post but I just bought great looking leather seats with the heated seat switch and was wondering if you ever got them to work?
