just used seafoam, now check engine light on

what would cause this? i'd imagine it's a sensor getting a foul reading and will go away once completely out of the system. Any ideas???

What's the code? I did a Gumout 2 Step in mine and now I'm getting P0456 (Small Evap Leak).

O2 sensor may be full O crap now. I've had to pull them and do the old intake cleaner spray to remove deposits and junk before. It's successful sometimes. Do not use carburetor cleaner. It can erode the coating in the sensor.

if your check engine light is on, you should have a code.

Check engine light is on = code present
Check engine light flashing = misfire = code may also be present
Was it flashing or on steady?

Check codes by going to wjjeeps.com and reading about codes.
