Jeep slowly cranks when engine is hot

97 5.2 ZJ has new problem at this hot days
Its starts fine when cold but after driving and engine bay is hot, trying to start my jeep and cranks very very slowly almost i'm out of battery charge.
It starts at least but this noise is very slowly and makes me think it wont start!
Gruuuuuup-gruuuuuup-gruuuuup-gruuuuuuuuuuuuuup then vroom
I check battery voltage gauge almost drops zero while cranking

Battery, cables and all very hot to touch
I have Varta battery 780CCA

What causes this problem

thank you

battery is probably toast. Use a battery tester when it is cold and then again when it is hot. If it tests bad at either of those times replace it.

It sounds more like heat soak to me. I'd definitely get the battery checked (most auto part places will do it for free) and check to make sure your terminals aren't super corroded. If neither of those things are the culprit, the problem is likely your starter getting too dang hot.

If youre confident in the battery and wiring, get the starter rebuilt.
