Interesting Youtube video I came across

Was perusing youtube as usual and came across an interesting and sad video of the AMC Headquarters. It closed in 2009 or 2010 when Chrysler went thru it's bankruptcy but after AMC was absorbed by Chrysler, they used this building for the designs of Jeeps and trucks...

Essentially this is where the XJ and ZJ were designed.. Kind of crazy to think:

https://youtu.be/UK1Fhsz7Z_A?t=4m29s <-- you can see some Chrysler truck reliability engineering reports laying there

The comment at the end of the second link is pretty sad..

Interesting to think this place was once, not too long ago, bustling with engineers designing the trucks we so love

I would have snagged those design color drawings and framed them, just because they were cool. The waynes coating on the walls could be repurposed too. The oak desk cleaned up might be of use too. They need some legitimate pickers to go in there and save some of the stuff so it won't just vanish. I remember thinking the Javelin was a cool car when I was a kid. A friend of mine in school had a ambassador, teal with white seats. We would skip class and hang out in it. I think I got my second ever kiss from a girl I didn't even know in that car. Steve drove it like a madman and plenty of times had me with a white knuckle death grip on the interior. It would fly.
