grounds

Im trying to get to the bottom of why my gauges, power windows, and overhead console have stopped working, i know it could be a bunch of different things. i checked the fuses and replaced the cluster plug in the dash harness. i figure next i should locate and check the grounds. my question being, does anyone have a list of the grounds and their locations? i have the FSM which tells me that there are grounds, but not where they are specifically. I found all kinds if lists for other models, but not the ZJ.

any help is greatly appreciated

Here's a place to start.

Search is a good thing.

That's a manual for a ZG, the European version, but the wiring shouldn't be greatly different. Page 8W-15-1 is the ground locations. I've seen one, or at least posted pages of one, that has a description of where the ground screw actually is. I don't know if this linked one has it or not.

I've used search, multiple times, with little to no success. Hence the reason I posted here. I'm no newb to JF.
I'm not saying the info isn't available, but I've been unable to locate it.

That's the same manual I have already. It lists the ground #'s G300, G102, ect, but no description of the location of where the bolt is.
Thanks tho, good looking out.

After doing a lot more scouring through pics, schematics, threads, and such, I have gotten a few locations...haven't had time to get outside to actually check if they are correct.

When I get them figured out, I will post what they are.

IIRC, the ground in question is under the drivers seat between the two rear seat mount bolts.

Ok.
I still havent been able to made any progress with this, between my work schedule and rain. SMH
I don't mind not having a tach or speedo, it's the no temp and no fuel that really bother me.

So, as promised, I said I'd post all the grounds locations if I was able to get them all. After countless hours scouring the intewebs and FSM, I finally found a list in the FSM. Ground #, physical location and illustration. Here's a pic of the list. Didn't take pics of the illustrations, however.

I've checked all the grounds except for the ones under the driver and passenger seats as I need to pull the seats, console, surrounding trim and carpet.

I did a lot of volt and continuity testing on wires and plugs pertaining to the cluster and BCM but came up with nothing (not saying there is no issue, I could have easily missed something) also went to the pick n pull and got a BCM, which didn't fix the issue. (I know, that BCM could be friends)

Need to check those remaining grounds and for good measure I'm going to get a cluster, as to rule that out (or *fingers crossed* solve the problem.

After installing another cluster, no luck.
Have to get those last 2 ground locations exposed and checked.
Unfortunately, tomorrow and Wednesday are my only days off between now and the 17th, and the weather doesn't look promising.
I miss having a garage to work in.

Any luck getting to those grounds?

Any chance you too pictures?
I'm chasing a ground issue and having an idea what is needed for these would be great.

Thanks for the info you've found already!
