got my 94 ZJ today, and did my first mod



removed the air silencer. all i have to say is, the 5.2 is better than my 4.0 in every way. i love this car. hollowed cat and a flowmaster muffler sound GREAT!!!

Why remove air silencer?

Is there any advantage to removing this air silencer?

air silencer?

What is an air silencer. forget the box filter, cold air intake is the way.

removing the air silencer

Sure there are benifits, but not in performance. the air silencer run from the back of the grill to the box filter. by removing it you can prevent les water mud and dust from being sucked into the box.

im going to get a K&N cone filter eventually, and make my own heat shield for it.

Hollowing out the cat IS a federal offence, and highly frowned upon around here.

they dont, your computer learn their way around them very shorty and your back to stock
