Gibson V8 headers?

Ran across a guy who has a set of Gibson Headers GP301S, but from my googlefu only lists these for a Ram, Dakota or Durango.. no mention of a ZJ.

Anyone familiar with these and if they fit the ZJ or should i pass on these?

IIRC Gibson did make headers for the ZJ when they were new, but has since stopped. Kolak would know a lot better.

That said, the GP301S is not the ZJ version, it comes back as the ram/dak/rango which is a very different design, and not compatible.

Yup, the dodge versions all have a lot more room before the firewall and a driver side starter. Normal dodge style headers dump into the firewall and starter of the ZJ.

The only thing on the market for the ZJ is the thorleys, and past that it's getting custom with center dump shorty block huggers.

Once upon a time there were a lot of ZJ V8 specific headers on the market. Here's the ones I can remember:

Doug Thorley
Mike Leach/Mopar Performance
Gibson
Hedman
Edelbrock
Borla
Pacesetter

Mike Leach designed the ZJ V8 header for Thorley back when he worked there. Then he left and started his own company.

As mentioned above, the Thorley is the only one left on the market, and thankfully it's an excellent tri-Y, ceramic coated header set that comes with a high flow Y-pipe. Part number is 630Y-C.
