Few quick control arm questions.

How many are there altogether 4 a piece? Or only 3 up front. Does any grease the bushing before installation? Is alignment needed afterward? Thanks very much for any help.

4 in the front, 4 in the back. Think about your track bar bushings at the same time.

^^^^ Smart men, good advice. Go with a 3 piece Moog poly bushing on the track bar axle end.......You are going to do the track bar bushing for another $20 right?

This reply shows all the bushings and control arms that I used to restore like-new handling to my ZJ.

The loose bolts are tightened to specifications with the vehicle on the ground and the weight sitting on the wheels, per the FSM.

My alignment tools were used to attain proper FSM settings at home.

The front tie rod end parts have grease Zerk fittings.

She is stock height and my DD, and she feels like the cab wants to fall off the frame rails. I will start ordering parts in the next week so thank you for the replies. I also just saw wingless's linked post, that this new to me ZJ, has the Up Country Suspension Group Package so now im off googling that. I love this little Jeep GC, you all will get tons of random off the wall questions from me on this. I still need to buy and impact, new shocks and number control arms. The guy i bought it from stated he did the track bar very recently. The steering is nice and tight, just feels as though it going to fall off the frame rails going around corners etc.

Check the bushings in the rear trackbar too. While you're at it, check the swaybar endling and bar mount bushings for wear.

If I can assist with any parts, please PM me here on the forum or email me at [email protected]
