I have one for ya. My headlights will only come on if I hold back on the dimmer switch. I have power in the PDC, and I have replaced the switch. I swapped the relay with the one for the cigarette lighter because I knew it was working with no luck. I am going to try a new dimmer switch tomorrow. I also noticed that my flashers work, but only one side flashes(L or R) and it alternates. I will turn them on and only the left will flash, the next time it will be the right. Being as the flashers are part of the dimmer swith, it seems legit. IDK, but I am about to lose my mind on this one. Please help!

Replace the dimmer switch, I had to about 7-8 years ago on our '98 because when I would switch from high to low, the lights would go out until I clicked it a second time. Also same problem with the hazard flashers. Switch was about 100 bucks, not too hard to install.

A friend of mine owns a junk yard, and let me get any parts off I needed off a jeep he had on the lot for free. I got the dimmer switch and when I removed the old one I immediately seen the problem. The wiring harness had 2 connectors that had popped out of p[lace. I popped then back in and everything works great.

I gotcha, I know on the switch itself there are many write ups for resoldering the weak factory soldering points.

I agree. I have read this as well. I have an extra dimmer switch now, so I will likely turn the extra into a midnight project and see what I can come up with. I have never soldered on any car switches, but I have computer motherboards, and video cards.
Should be simple enough

I have an issue with the instrumental panel. The thing does not turn on at all. As if the zj was off no info. But the light inside of it comes on and so do the blinkers hell it even tells me the outside lights are on. But no speed, temperature, or rpms. I now own 3 instrumental panels and the plug is receiving current. What else could it be? Any thoughts.

Hi, how are you? Can you provide more specifics of what you're dealing with? You're talking about the dash panel, not the bcm, right? It looks like you've tried swapping in a new one or a jy replacement, right? How have you verified the current, with a test light or a multimeter? I would like to help you if I can, but I'm still a little unclear about what isn't working. Pm me if you want. I'm working, but I get a few minutes to check my stuff periodically.

That sounds like it has nothing to do with this thread, maybe try starting a new thread and you'll get more visibility.

It also sounds like something that would be easier to diagnose if we knew what engine you have. It could just be normal 4.0 lifter tick, but thats not a problem on the V8 . . .
