BMI Aluminum Head

First, happy Father's day to all.

A friend of mine just bought a 4.0 for $100 with a BMI aluminum head. He's coming up empty on finding anything about it. Any ideas?

I'm thinking this is Baker Machining in Gilbert AZ. Its the only link I can find to BMI and Jeeps.

I wonder if that's who was casting the head for Hesco?

Are you going to give BMI a call?

I'll leave the real digging to him, but all pass along the info.

If you find out let me know! I have one a fellow got from Clifford in 2005! It's new, in box, never used. Has Clifford Performance return address on it, shipped summer of 05 to the guy I bought it from.

I was told that Clifford told the guy there were only three made - I see it looks a lot like the HESCO head in many ways.
I wonder how the heck that front corner of the valve cover seals with that skinny rail surface! (bottom pic)

Here's your answer - from the place that my identical head came from. And it's a prototype so you'll find little on it beyond this - this is directly from Clifford

Yes, we made the cylinder head and later sold it to Hesco. They then sold it to Edelbrock.

We sold it because it failed to do what we wanted and that was to build off idle torque. It is only going to give you mid range and high end performance.

Use it
