I paid over $200 at my local Advance Auto and that was with my 5% Jeep club discount. Sounds like a good deal.

Moog's are good. Idk if they're still available or not but I've had good luck with the Spicers I'm running (~2 years old now I think)...I got them from RockAuto but don't seem them there anymore so they might be discontinued.

I would go with the Moogs, they still are the best out there IMO.

Stay away from Moog lowers, terrible design that leads to binding inside the ball joints and wandering steering. Look into XRF ball joints, some of the best you can buy and they are about the same price as Moogs.

Want to swap an NP242 or NP231 into your ZJ? Here's how:

Good move . Moog now outsources alot of "older" vehicle parts . Our ZJ's just happen to fall into that catagory . If the part still carries the "problem solver" stamp on the cap , it's still the high quality part we have all trusted for years . If not , it looks like the same economy version at double the price .

I went with Spicer ball joints , I figured if they went 180K before , they should do it again , I doubt the jeep will see another 180K , it's going to be a trail rider after next month , that's alot of trails .

I think for the cost of those ball joints alone , who could resist . I think I will get those for the 5.9

I've never heard of rockauto till yesterday

Yesterday I ordered Raybestos pads and rotors for all 4 corners and i ordered 5 u-joints.. Not bad cost me $270 with a discount. To bad you didn't order the parts yesterday, they were offering a 5% off

Sorry for the useless post.. But I think I need to replace my ball joints and maybe tierods too. What are some good tierods?

I have Moog front sway bar endlinks.. No issues with them yet

rockauto always has a 5% off ... just google "rockauto discount code" and one will always come up

oh and the moog balljoints that rockauto carries are the problem solver ... but these XRF ones look much better and are a much better price

Matt
