'98 GC w/5.2 Front Differential Noise

New to me Laredo has grinding noise in the front differential. Had mechanic change fluid and found metal shavings on plug and black burned smelling oil/grease. Installed new fluid - no change. Where do I get a new or used differential if that is the solution (I'm no mechanic so rebuild is not for me) and what will likely be needed besides the differential (also where do I locate the exact part number for it?) - axles, etc?
Thanks

You could pull the whole Axle assembly from a junk yard. Pretty straight forward. Its just really big and heavy.

You will spend more piecing it together or rebuilding it than grabbing a whole axle from the yard.

Thanks! Is it better to use entire axle or just the differential?

I would just grab the entire thing.
