94 4.0 Not Getting Fire

My ZJ just up and died the other day in the driveway, checked to see if it's getting fuel and it is. Then checked to see if it's getting spark but it's not. I put a new cap and rotor on it a few months back. So I figured it was the crankshaft sensor because I've had them do that before. And put a new one on it but still not getting spark.

I took off a plug wire and hooked it straight to the coil, put a plug in it, put it on some metal and it not getting juice while I'm cranking it over. Seems to me like the coil is bad but figured I'd see if anybody had some opinions before I buy another coil.

BASIC'S
with KOEO (Key On Eng OFF) -

Is there 12v at injectors?
Is there 12v at coil?

YOU DID TRY TO GET CODES, AND CHECKED ALL FUSES?

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.

Yea all the fuses checked out good, but don't got anything I can check and see if it's getting 12v at the coil with the key on. And there's no codes on in the jeep.

Check the connection on the coil. I’ve seen them come loose and not let it get power.

my '93 use to eat coils for lunch. and breakfast. and dinner. and snack. and ... you get the picture.

Test for the 12V at the coil. The coil is a fairly inexpensive part and can be replaced in about 5 minutes. Get a coil with a lifetime warranty.

93 red ZJ 196k 4.0. Spent more money than I should have ...
