Hitch tire carrier

For sale: Hitch/tire carrier

I made this about a year ago. It worked well but I decided on a different route. The hitch rating is 5,000 lb with a tongue weight rated at 500 lb. The tire carrier is currently set up with a 1.5" spacer (spacer included if needed) to work with stock rims on a 1999 WJ with 265/70r16 tires. It should hold a much larger tire well.

Asking $75/make offer. It is just taking up space and I would like it to go to someone who could use it.

PM me here with offer or for more info

Hi,

Is this still available? are there any provisions to reduce rattle or movement? Thank you!

Yes it is available. What I did to eliminate rattle was to put a threaded hole with a bolt and nut on the bottom of the hitch mount, just behind the pin. I tightened it down and had no rattle, even Off-road. I can get a picture of it on Friday if you want. I would do it sooner but I am out of town.

If you can take some close up of that, that would be great. Thank you!

Sorry about doing all this as posts, but I don't have the ability to send PMs yet (I guess because I am too new?). Thanks.

Here are pictures. The first one is of it on my WJ, the second is of the bolt on the receiver. With the bolt tightened and the nut secured I never had a problem with it rattling. I posted the pictures here as I could not attach them to a pm.
