Thanks to all you guys for your support. I took this job going back 6 bucks an hour on pay. One was flat rate, the 6 bucks and hour less was hourly. It pays time and a half though and a flat rate bonus for hours turned above clock time. Insurance paid, far less miles to work so less gas, maintenance, and wear and tear on vehicle. It eliminated some of the star case, technical assistance, photos of a zillion things to prove it is broken and *******s that want to argue all of your documentation to get a warranty job approved by the factory. For instance: I just sent you a photo requesting a new transmission on a 2020 1500 Ram of all the metal in the pan. This thing did not make any shift right, especially when cold. You made me look at video links, search this and search that and deny the claim for a transmission. Then upload and download and sideload all sorts of scan data, etc. to tell me that a valve body was what is recommended. So Ok. Do I have the authorization. NOPE. You have to submit a labor claim with part numbers and prices for the claim...... Are you kidding me????? YOU ARE THE FACTORY.... YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU CAN PAY FOR THIS JOB!

In the end though. I was able to do the math and we are further along in life and take a risk on a job that may be uncertain but I don't see how. It has been awesome.

If you cannot fix it with a hammer then it has to be an electrical problem.

does anti freeze go bad in the jug? I have two unopened gallons of prestone that have to be over 30 years old. the price tag stickers are from a store that closed in the early 90s

A sealed can/bottle of antifreeze has an indefinite shelf life. The new non silica extended antifreeze when opened has a shelf life over eight years. Antifreeze is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs water, therefore if you keep it air tight you will not have a problem

I recently set-up some game cameras to get a better idea when the deer/fox/turkeys come by to eat. Some come ~3AM, some ~5:30-6AM, and some ~7-8:30PM. Got a few pics of the foxes, but they are blurry because they were on the move.

I've been going thru ~15# of corn, ~3# of peanuts and 2# of apples each day.

These two are from 5:45PM and 10:20PM

Yeah. There is also the RZ500 V-4 (you read that right, 2 stroke 500 4 cyl)
So many great bikes that were not imported here.

They are all over Europe and Canada. It's pretty much a replica of the bike Kenny Roberts used to whoop the crap out of the European GP circuit.

A good two stroke powerband reminds people they are alive.

Hey all - stop on in and cast your vote!

February 2020 YJOTM is here!

https://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/...e-now-4388167/

Stop whining about the 'ride' - If your YJ ain't wrangling your soul free, then might I suggest you buy a stationwagon... at least you can fit all your bull**** in the back.

Didn't take me long to get banned from Twatter.
I asked ILHAN OMAR how long she's been getting down with her brother.
Sounds like a reasonable question to me.

So “labor party” is like back to the nomenclature that was used in northeast europe and regimes like Castro and Hitler....
So no surprise wikiped says, “Omar is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and has advocated for a living wage, affordable housing, universal healthcare, student loan debt forgiveness, the protection of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, and abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).”

I don’t care where / what you are politically but anybody even moderately intelligent that has read up on the financial-related politics opinions of Warren Buffet, the (too soft) warnings of Ronald Reagan, Thomas Jefferson’s economic theory, or dabbled in Robert Kiyosaki’s books should immediately recognize how much trouble we’re in over the next 10-15 years with that kind of bankruptcy-bound thinking being so pervasive.

By the way, Chris. Save some money and invest for non-labor-based income. Your pension may not be intact in ten years

Posted up in the WJ forum. No replies as of yet... since the YJ crowd is often well-versed in all things from the 80s and 90s and beyond....

Am going to be taking a look at 99 WJ 4.7 this weekend. It's bone stock, excellent interior and exterior shape...170,000km. Says all routine maintenance has been done, but many do.

Was wondering if any of you have pointers on any unpopular issues these beasts have. Am admittedly not well-versed in the 4.7 other than vehicle specs. Anything I should look for in the undercarriage other than the usual I would for a YJ? I figure if something goes wrong down the line.... I have a YJ parts vehicle lol

At a VERY good price (which i will talk him down some). $3K CAD. Seems the guys is in a bit of a bind as hes moving for work and is taking his Sedan with him. So he wants to sell.

That looks real clean. I have a couple of those and have had to deal with rust repair on both. There is a seam in the uniframe right where the rear lower link mount is that is a common place for rust problems.

Before:

After:

Take a good look at your inner rockers. The outers are covered in plastic so they can trap moisture and gunk.

I know of a couple 4.7's that had blown head gaskets. Both of them had stop leak dumped into them to mask the problem.

Other than that, I really like them they handle high speed off road stuff real nice.
