The thing about Dakar as an event was they always made an effort to ratchet things back to try to keep the untouchable open-checkbook efforts from dominating.

The cannonball run is was mostly that way until the last ten years or so but it’s still fun to read about. Even though it’s become something like indycar in untouchable tech I’m still fascinated by the idea https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cul...rs-25-minutes/

My daughter has already hit two deer this year up in Virginia. I wonder if she could get one of those faux cow catchers for her Kia Rio. The insurance company would probably subsidize one, too. Rio vs deer usually results in the Rio losing.

l love the optical illusion of the guy standing on the hood.

If you cannot fix it with a hammer then it has to be an electrical problem.

LOL.
Incidental occurrence.

They wrap ornamentals up here in winter to minimize climate damage and things like exposure to road salt spray (seeing as this is a high traffic area)

So you're saying that the reason the midget is wearing a jacket is that it's an ornamental midget.

A hood ornament.

No. Were you going to use them for SOA?

The lowest lift springs they have are 37R's. about 1 3/4" to 2" depending on weight.
Ultra-soft. Too soft for SOA without... the bars. Having a brain problem right now! You know, the bars that keep the spring from bending... Jeez, I can't think of it.

Thanks Chris. I’m getting ready to SOA the front end to fix some steering issues and I’m trying to find a good spring to use. I just want as little arch as possible.

Anti-wrap, whatever the term for that is. Soft springs + SOA = A bunch of damage. You'll have to carry extra springs, yoke, driveshaft and possibly a transfer case!
I don't think there is a quality stock spring available. None that would find their way under my Jeep, that's for sure. If/when I do SOA, it'll be with well preserved OEM springs. Those need anti-wrap bars for sure.

Check this out.
