So.... maybe I have been missing this for a while, but who knew that you could do your own custom overlays in Google maps? I was looking for maps of Southington Offroad Park and stumbled on this google map created way back in 2012.

I played around with it a bit and created my own map of an area that I have been "scouting" on Google maps. I have been planning on exploring an area close to home that I have never been in and have identified some cool looking areas just using Google maps. This feature should help find the areas I have identified. You can change the base map as well. This is the Topo base.

Nice work.

If you cannot fix it with a hammer then it has to be an electrical problem.

Nice work!

I'm curious as to why you put the inverter down on the lower shelf? Maybe you plan to use the top shelf as a small weld table?

I have the cart that comes from Miller. It's a piece of crap, but was free to me. It also puts the inverter down too low for my preference. You spend a fair amount of time maintaining and adjusting the unit, plus wire changes and such. Nice to have it up at a decent work level.

I might end up putting it on the top shelf, i tried it both ways. My thought was just the empty self was much more usable on the top for setting things on. like pliers, grinders ect. but you are right it does make the welder a little low to adjust easy.

So... put it on top and put a ‘clean cabinet’ on the bottom for backup full spools and such. Shop dust can make issues...

Then make a tray for the top of the welder that nests over the handle for your Horizontal Surface Disease needs.

I’d do that myself except my cart like that has a Weldpak on the bottom (setup for mig) and another weldpak on top with fluxcore. But I have welded on rings and hoops to hold stuff like wire pliers or coil the cables.
Try it- you’ll like it. And the tool tray is nice little fab project

[size=3]Shackles & D-rings are different things.

No its c25, where i get gas they just take your empty tank and trade you for a full one (even though its customer owned and not rented) for 60$ for 125cu/ft. Never know what color you gonna get. Last one was brown.

Cool! How do you get to the Sat image? In 'My Maps' only the map mode shows up.

If I'm in regular Sat mode, there are no 'My Map' tools.

Under the list of layers on the left there is a drop down titled "Base Map".

Thanks. It didn't work though. That option isn't there.

Another Halloween under the belt. Here, Halloween is celebrated the Saturday following Nevada Day, the last Friday in October. Everyone should celebrate Nevada Day. Who doesn't like a three day weekend every Halloween?
This was a good one, no one died or had to be flown out.
Days were quite hot, nearing 100* nights cooled into the 60's
The Jeep didn't make this trip, couldn't get Joanne to follow me in it with no top. I guess it messes up her hair. (Jeez, they make brushes)
It will be there for Thanksgiving. I'll put the top on.
Official numbers aren't in yet, but I'll guess 30,000 plus.

First two pictures, camp and a camp group ride.
3rd pic: a rolled over whatever it was...
4th: Granny in my Can Am
5th thru 8th: Saturday night party at the base of the big dune.
This was a party...
