Chris, leave 'em alone man, they're just cooking a little meth. Lol

I could tell they were nervous when I pulled up. Blinded by some gun toting redneck American in a Jeep!
But I have helped several people there. The gravel road in is inviting. It slowly turns to sand, bit by bit. Until people find their rental Hyundai is buried to the floorboards. I towed out a rental Hyundai from the middle of the dunes where two French women were buried. No water, 20 miles from a road, no cell service... I couldn't believe they made it as far into the dunes as they did.
It's definitely a "tourist trap"
So much so, the BLM is having a cell tower put up. It's almost finished.

Wrong picture^
They really are having a cell tower built because the foreign tourist that get trapped there.
Death Valley is visited (probably) by more European and Asian people than Americans.
They seem to be fascinated with the place.

DaddyJeep made it to print over the weekend. A magazine shoot would be better, but at least the local newspaper recognized it. This will piss off a lot of hot rod guys at the show that my beat up Jeep made the paper and they didn't. I didn't win any trophies, but had a great time, met some other Jeep people, and the crowd enjoyed the Jeep.

If you cannot fix it with a hammer then it has to be an electrical problem.

Saw a real beauty pull into the loading dock at my workplace today. . He slowly passed mine by scoping it out as I watched his roll past me (I wasnt near my jeep). Judging by the sound and hood.... V8. Beautiful resto job.

Dont see many YJs in my area.... it's more XJ nation.

EDIT: spoke with the owner. Chevy 427

Yep. Just enough with minor lift and 31s.

Barely...but enough.

Admittedly, he said he built it as a pavement queen.

Those flares are HUGE.

But the rest of it looks good.

So what 427? Any old school guy is assuming a big block but now that they can be had in the traditional SBC package or even the LS motor package one can only wonder.

Just mentioned to my buddy a couple of weeks ago that I have never seen a big block Chevy CJ or Wrangler in person. I know that they exist but so rare. He is as old as me and a car guy and career mechanic also. He has never seen one either. It would probably resemble a big block Mustang. Not steer well but go like hell in a straight line. Potentially quite top heavy also.... But..... People need to do this and go to car shows and cruises and show all the JK guys that there are actually cool mods you can do to a Jeep that really turn heads. Your neons may not catch my eye but a Big Block Jeep would cause you have to turn around to see what you hear coming that is all nasty and stuff..... JS.

If you cannot fix it with a hammer then it has to be an electrical problem.

Guess again. While reality may different than you’d expect, it might be worse. http://www.dubshowtour.com/dst/ It’s a noisy rancorous hip hop haven of plastic ‘hot rods’ with blue tooth windshield wipers and more under hood carbon fiber than a weekend golf course
