Yup. My Maine coon lived to 18yrs, Tough loss, was more dog like than many dogs... spent nights sitting buy the fire pit with us....

Now that’s funny. Though I see more jks built that way than xjs. I honestly haven’t seen even a decent looking xj on the street in a while. They’re all dying.

One of my favorite singers/songwriters, Paul Thorn, did a great song titled "I Don't Like Half The Folks I Love". He did a great intro to it at one of his concerts I saw. Great story teller.

I ended up buying one of his jerseys with that title on the back which got me a compliment from another fan when flying out of Tri-Cities (Bristol, TN) last year.

And condolences on the cat. My late wife and I adopted mid life standard poodles for the 20 years in the USCG and another 10 years. They are quite short lived so I've had to take six to be put down over those years. It only "kind of" gets to be easier. They were all pretty special in different ways.

Those “learning experiences” suck.

We had two cats when my kids were little.
They were buried with much respect from the kids. They were good companions with personalities and I hurt with them.

Sorry for your pain.

Back from vacation. 5 days of camping, a kayak trip, some go karting, lots of bike riding, lots of RC car racing with the grandson. A broken RC car, twice, still broken.... A trip to Nashville to take Grandson back down south to be back with Mommy and other Grand parents. We are blessed to spend as time with him as we do given the miles between where we live.

Spent last night in Nashville. First time we have been there. OMG! Took in a lot of great music and had a blast! 9hrs. in the car to get back home today. My liver and eardrums need healing. So does my butt from 19 hours in the car since Friday evening.

Back to work tomorrow and nothing physically left in the tank. Tired and worn out as hell and need to beg for money from the homeless people that solicit on street corners with signs. It must have been the perfect vacation.

Sounds like a pretty fantastic vacation. Time to go back to work to get some rest.

There was a thread on those exact doors a few months ago. I call 'em Helicopter doors.

General consensus is they are cheap and you can't find hardware for them anymore. Other than the cool factor they're useless.

@Awesome really? Guy wants 400$ for doors and top. I wonder if I could get just the doors for 150ish. I agree though more novelty than anything for me.

OMG Grandpa! Just made getting old worth the price, didn't it? He is beautiful.

We just took our 5 1/2 year old grandson back down south this weekend. Had him since just before memorial day. Grand babies are somehow way better than children and I loved being a Daddy and was very involved. Hard to 'splain it but they are different.

One of the cool things this year was through making a balance bike out of an old 12" bike by taking the crank, pedals and chain off, Ryan was riding his 16" with the training wheels off within a week. On our vacation last week we got to go on some pretty long rides and he has it mastered. He still rode the trail a bike behind mine a couple of times on some tough dune trails but the little man can go like mad now.

Funny thing. Ryan has liked the cancer patient 94 Yj more than the 87 desert YJ. I think it was his exposure to it and time around it. Spent some time with him around the 87 and put him in the drivers seat just to play.. He is now liking the 87 a lot. Anyways, our little buddies are destined to be true Jeepers and appreciate the ones that came along before big screen wifi this and all the BMW type of comforts were introduced.. More apt to enjoy the ones that just get them outdoors and into nature. When a car was a car and a garage door opener was a separate gadget.

You have a big responsibility as a Granddad. We cannot for instance count on the school systems to teach our little buddies to make farting noises with their armpits. We have to fill in all the gaps and make sure that they know all the little things that truly make them a man. I know you get it.

If you cannot fix it with a hammer then it has to be an electrical problem.

That's pretty cheap. Buy them both and sell the top for $400. Profit.
