True.

And if you want to see something mind boggling, check YouTube for videos showing bits that drill square holes. They really exist.

Yea, lol. I wouldn't really call it drilling though.

Still have time to enter YJOTM if you haven't already! Should be an excellent turnout this month, lots of great competition! And don't forget about the extra $200 prize from @Quadratec this month!

But did you look at any videos? It is a bit. It goes in a drill press. And it drills round and round inside a round pilot hole making it square. The mathematician that figured it out a long time ago was genius.

It's nothing like just broaching to get a square hole.

I'm also fascinated that the map the used to demonstrate compass use isn't Yosemite or the Yukon, but is of all places "The Northeast Kingdom" of Vermont and the Connecticut Lakes region of New Hampshire, my back yard.

Wow. When I saw that book I thought, "I have that in my library too."

It took me until today when I discovered my book is All About Camping by retired US Park Ranger W. K. Merrill with the forward by then Secretary of the Interior Stewart L. Udall. Published by Stackpole Books (Second Edition) in October 1965. Very similar content.

Cool stuff.

Maybe
Well, everyone comes here at their own level of knowledge and some questions may sound trivial to one and interesting to another. Just a matter of sorting out trolls.

Not a Jeep, but I just checked on a motorcycle friend in NC because of the storm flooding there and his latest project is a 32 Chevy Sedan that he's plugged a Cummins 4BT with upgraded turbo and fuel system into. And a 5 speed stick.

He ok'd me sharing a few pics which I'll try and post tonight after I grab some dinner.

This is an interesting swap and has worked out well so far.

Edit: Rats! Since I'm not logged into his account, Smugmug won't let me share individual photos. Take my word for it - its way cool.

Tried it again.

And again... here's a link to hopefully the pic of the motor. https://dlrides.smugmug.com/Cars/32-...ct/i-NFLXjr2/A

I got to have some fun this afternoon with the wife and kids. We did some wheeling to get photos for YJOTM but I seem unable to get them to up load.

Stop whining about the 'ride' - If your YJ ain't wrangling your soul free, then might I suggest you buy a stationwagon... at least you can fit all your bull**** in the back.

@shaggyjim , they look to be popping up just fine here in your thread post. I would suggest that however you included them in your post, do the same in the PM to me.

I'm getting ready to post the contest this morning, would you like me to hold off for a couple of hours to get your entry in sir?
