Nothing saps your energy and motivation like a persistent fever. BTDT before. Hope it's not the dreaded virus. Feel better.

Anyone have a picture of deflector with the grill off

Got a lot of water coming in both sides when Jeep is sitting. The carpet is out. Floor plugs are out. I have fabricated and pop-riveted boxes under floor drain so they are open toward the back.

My YJ has a hardtop with half doors. I have fabricated corner pieces in the area of the windshield frame and top so it seals quite well to the window. Also have cut down the inner frame, rewelded and radiused them so the new fabric windows of the half windows so they fix well now all around.

The drain for the vent box is clear and drains well. However, I am still getting at least a 1/2 qt of water into the heater box in a good two-day downpour.

My top grill is SS Quadratec replacement. The screen is good. The inner box has the OEM plastic piece. Does not look broken but the lip that comes out is only on one side. You would think it would be on both sides. Cannot find what it should look like.

Anyone have a picture of theirs with the grill off? Appears may be that deflector on one side is missing on the other side

Thanks...

PS. Jeep has been gone for over a year while my student used it. She put 19,000 miles on my overhaul that I did at 300,000

Still runs great. I would have never lived long enough to do that. Due to COVID-19, it's now setting. She has a Honda since the Jeep truly is not a safe year round full-time driver. I got it for my hobby and replace my Harley at my age.

Thanks for the help.

Sold jeep parts...so naked. So, so naked.

$$$$$. Let the fun begin... ordered some parts (Poison Spyder DeFender 3" front fenders, lower shock mounts for the new positioning on the 8.8) with the money pulled in and picked up brand new Ford shock towers for my upcoming rear outboard off a craigslist ad.

i also did some careful measuring on the ramp of my underground car park, and found i have only ~.75" of clearance above the b-pillar when going down and up ...this means, so long as i live where i do now, SOA has to be stricken from the list of winter projects - just can't risk doing it and not fitting out when next summer came along lol. I've also come to the conclusion that i love how the jeep looks without a spare hanging off the back and have re-planned how to address the back side of the jeep.

So hereís a note if you have a YJ with the 4.2L. There are two different length oil pickup tubes. Of course I learn this the hard way. Iím changing out my rear main seal so I figure that Iíll go ahead and change the oil pump while Iím down there. I get rid of the old pump two weeks ago and when I go to install the oil pan, it doesnít fit.

If anyone knows the correct part number for the shorter oil pickup tube, Iíd appreciate it.

Cut off the old center body mount, ground down the caterpillar welds on the center frame repair I did a while back, got the last bolt out - I snapped the head off it and ended up having to go in through the tub. New mounts should be here on Monday.
