Replaced my t-case shifter linkage today. Also installed my new front drive shaft. Good to have a 4wd Jeep again. Also installed some more LEDs and I'm getting all the final stuff done for the Go Topless event this coming weekend on the beach.

Put some time into the rear bumper last night. I started with a 3x6 rectangular tube. I got all the tabs that tie it to the frame tacked on. Now I need to trim the corners, put some structure in for the clevis mount and the pivot post for the tire carrier.

Also put some time into finish welding the front bumper

Actually did it Sunday, but something I'd been avoiding since last fall. Put a new thermostat housing, thermostat, upper radiator hose and heater core supply hose.
Last fall it overheated and I was fearing a cracked or warped head (although that would have allowed a 4.0 or 4.2 upgrade). It apparently cracked the housing. But now just happy the thing is not leaking. I brought it up to temperature twice and burped the air out and seems to be running fine. So glad to have it back.

So stupid nutserts....
Putting my rear armor on, two of the buggars just spin. Anyone have a sweet solution to these royal PITAs? They're brass btw...I tried welding the flange to the body (figured if I could just get the puddle under and behind the lip just a bit it may hold) with no luck. Last two bolts. Always the last ones...

I'm ready to rip my hair out. It's like a race horse snapping a leg a length before the finish line

Cheers

Why not just a nyloc on the other side? You may have to relocate the holes at the very bottom (at least I will with my armor/fenders) that fall in the boxed in area by the rear tub mounts... at least you can get a backer wrench on em if they're a couple inches higher.

Drill a hole and put a proper bolt and flange nut. They're self holding for one handed installation. I learned my lesson with nutserts with the jk metalcloak armor. No more.

Bleh. Its the two right by the door. The tub is enclosed right there. I could maybe drill a backer hole. Stupid, crappy design...

Cheers
