Weber carb troubleshooting

I have a 38/38 Weber carb on my 4.2 YJ. The problem is the carb bowl runs dry after sitting for a week.
I have taken it apart and rebuilt it with a redline kit and the thing runs great, it just drys out.

The engine has quite a slope to it due to the transmition drop on the skid plate which makes the carb have a 1.5 inch drop per foot, measured as 5/16 inch drop over the 2.5 inch wide base plate.

As an experiment I am going to make a new base plate with the proper angle to let the carb sit level. Hopefully this will help it.

That is a lot of slope in the driveline, but I do not think it should be causing your issue. I have a 38 as well. I'd check the fuel lines. Is your vapor can connected to the fuel tank and vacuum? That would be the first place I started looking, then it would be the fuel pump itself.

If you want to check leveling the carb, just wedge the wheels to level it out.
