Another example of the seemingly always true adage: "Only the good die young..."

He was clearly very clever (which is FAR better than being "smart" in MY book), good sense of humor, freely shared help, information, and insights to all who followed; in short, he cast a L-O-N-G shadow that few will be able to duplicate. I will be hoisting one in your honor every day this week, Sir...

Others have said it but I am shocked and troubled. Beyond my understanding and wish I'd known him IRL
This is a singular moment in which I am amazed and distressed by the loss I feel for a man I never had the good fortune to meet. I long to help in some fashion and wish I could change it but this is a door we just aren't able to reopen.

I pray for his family and those close to him who will feel this loss so much more profoundly than I ever will.

I wanted to meet him this summer. Taking a trip to Yosemite.
We had discussed it.
What a terrible loss.
I'm really feeling for his loved ones.

This just sucks.... I also did not know him other than here but he seemed like the "shirt off his back" kind of a guy. It's just wrong.

Genius might be the ability to say a profound thing in a simple way.

Nick was like an older brother to me. Me and him always had great conversations as he was very intelligent and funny. He was (like many others stated) a fountain of knowledge and a fountain of kindness. I don't know much of anybody on the forum as I am new to it but I did know nick and he's been a part of my life for the last 4-1/2 years because I met him through my brother (jake the red and blue jeep guy) nick and my brother were the reasons I got a jeep as they are the two that helped me pick it out. I can't even remember how many the three of us sorted through until we all came to an agreement on one.He gave me so much knowledge about what will and won't work for my jeep it's really just unreal and just general knowledge on stuff he knew about and more importantly he was not only someone ANYBODY could talk to but he was someone that was there for anyone that needed him. Like I stated he was basically an older brother to me and I'll never forget him. R.I.P canman. You will be missed by many and forgotten by none. Like it was said by a couple of other guys we should make a memorial sticky in his honor. I'll mis you big bro.

What a loss to so many lives. I am still reeling with the shock. Nic was top shelf human. Kind and clever, he always made time in his life to help others. We passed more than a few long evenings discussing jeeps, life, family, faith, and a thousand other topics. He will me missed dearly.

Wheel in peace brother. Your life made a huge impact on thousands.

Cheers

I'll answer this one time on here. Nick is gone. How is a matter for family and close friends. Please leave it at that.
