TF999 Missing TV Cable & Bracket(s)

I have a 1988 YJ where the previous owner installed a throttle body injection. Where can I purchase the missing parts for the TV assembly?

You have a cable? Mine (89) is a connecting linkage. I suppose some 3 speed Torqueflites used a cable but the ones I've had over the years were all linkage.

Thanks for the info. I noticed you have an 89 560SL and an 89 YJ. We have an 88 560SL and an 88 YJ. We also have a 95 500SL. We can share experiences on both platforms.

Interesting world.

I replaced the soft top on the SL this summer -- not much DIY experience with that sort of thing, but it came out good.

I had also looked into a DIY of the top but decided to have it professionally replaced. I had the top replaced this past summer along with weatherstripping (coinsindence) $1,400.00). I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Not a bad price, considering there is a lot of labor in the process.

It was a linkage up to 1990, then it was a cable.

You'll need to make a bracket to hold the linkage.

You're in luck. I found one. 29 bucks. It used the linkage to year 1990, cable 1991 and up.

I'll take a picture of the bracket I made for our 1989. It also was converted to TBI.
