Soft top bow covers?

Hi All- I have an 89 YJ with the original soft top frame. The frame is still in pretty good shape. I see that there were CJ soft top bow covers. Would these be compatible with the yj frame, and if so are they worth getting to keep the frame in good shape? Thanks a lot!

As a reasonable replacement, you could go to a local hardware store, and in the plumbing section take a look at the pipe insulation selection they have & cut/glue/zip tie it to fit.

It's cheap, easy, and looks pretty good if you get a good fit. I've seen it done, and also did it a few different times on various Jeeps with good results. Helps protect the softop from rubbing against the bars too.

I agree with the pipe insulation.

Cheap and actually proper. Looks nice. Quiets things down and keeps things taught
