anyone know of a good oil cap for my 258
.....i have bought 2 from adanced and they both leak....

get a thicker gasket or use 2 gaskets?

Aren't 6cyl jeeps suppose to leak from the oil fill cap? I have never seen one that was not brand new that was dry up there, at least with the 4.0.

Crankcase pressure causes the cap to leak.
If your crankcase ventilation system PCV/CCV is working right it should'nt leak.
I recently replaced my valve cover gasket and put on a new $2.99 Stant cap and it doesn't leak a drop.

All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best.

I got mine from AutoZone and it holds just fine, every cap I ever got from advance leaks within a week.

Ya the one i got from advance leaks to, so replaced valve cover gasket and change my pvc and it still leaked bought one fron autozone and no more leak

Bought mine from the dealer for less than four bucks...OEM design, doesn't leak a drop...I'll bet you paid more for less at those aftermarket stores...
