Extra Ignition Wire?
Ok, so I bought a new wire kit to replace all my spark plug wires between the distributor and the plugs. I replaced all the wires, matching the lengths as I went and when I was done I had the wire pictured left. I have the 2.5L AMC engine in her and this wire was the only one that had this type of connector on it as well. Does this wire go somewhere i'm not aware of or do these kits come to fit multiple different engines?

Not unusual. The set fits different applications. That looks like a coil to distributor wire. It is common to get an extra one of those.
