SO.. Ive become a victim of death wobble. I can drive around just fine. I can cruise at highway speeds, city speeds, make turns, stop, ect just fine.

However, if I slam on the breaks I immeaditly get death wobble, If I hit a slight bump in the road at a moderate speed I get death wobble.

I have rugged ridge HD 1ton steering on my jeep. So far I've done:
1. Replaced Tie rod ends.
2. Got an alignment.
3. Got tires balanced.
4. Checked my steering stabilizer.

Is a wheel bearing(s) or ball joints my next culprit?

nearly everything they discuss in this thread applies to YJs as well. Read this thread, watch the diagnostic videos, follow the steps, do the tests, and find the weak link and fix it. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/d...g-non-dw-shimmies-wobbles-tj-version-2359089/

YJs have the unique property of leaf spring bushings that, if worn badly, can also contribute to DW in a YJ. check them as well - not visually, disassemble the front leaf shackles and look at the bushings for rot, tears, etc.
