Clutch replacement - trans then bell or both at once?

On a 2.5 with external slave, do you find it easier to drop the trans first, then the bell, or do you just pull the bell still attached?

I have only done clutches on integral bellhousings and on my 4.2 CJ, so looking for any YJ specific tips.

Ok, thank you. Didn't think about the sensor!
