95 2.5L Starting issues

So I have an issue that seems to be getting worse as i try to diagnose it and need your help.

I have a 95 2.5L 5 speed. Initially I would turn the key and starter would click but the engine would not turn over. I have replaced my weak original starter, replaced my under performing alternator, tried new relays and confirmed all fuses are good.

Now when i turn the key I get nothing, no lights on the dash, the volt meter reads nothing. I am going to play around with the volt meter and try maybe jumping the car next but i feel this is either the ignition switch or the ignition barrel. I have full range of my key and it springs back to acc after run.

I also have NO electric items like the lights or horn.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I've had something very similar and it turned out to be corrosion inside the battery cable to the point where there was just white powder inside the outer insulating shell. The two ends looked ok but the copper was all gone inside.

Thanks I feel they are in good shape and look great at both ends but probably worth a closer look.

That's just what I saw too, maybe just a hair of corrosion near the terminal. You can try a quick test with a jumper cable just be careful and don't make too many sparks.

So I was able to start with the jumper cable from the battery to the starter motor. I also ordered a new ignition switch and waiting for that to arrive.

Waiting on new cables and a new switch so last night I pulled the switch and the connectors looks to be ok just really grimy.
